Asked how he&#8217;d build a website today, he said he wouldn&#8217;t touch WordPress installs, theme hunting, or plugin stacking anymore. He&#8217;d just hand the job to an <a href=\"https:\/\/hostingdiscussion.com\/news\/one-click-ai-agents-push-into-mainstream-hosting\/\">AI agent<\/a>. That admission, from someone who&#8217;s run a hosting company since 2015, is a fairly direct signal about which parts of web hosting he thinks are becoming obsolete.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The technical problem <a href=\"https:\/\/hostingdiscussion.com\/news\/namehero-launches-cloudshield-vps-delivering-enhanced-security-scalability-for-msps-resellers\/\">NameHero<\/a> is solving is specific. Companies designed standard hosting environments for websites that respond to a request and stop, not for agents that keep working. AI agents don&#8217;t work that way. They run jobs for hours at a stretch, and traditional hosting kills them with timeouts and execution limits. They also need memory that survives a restart, something a typical web server never had to handle.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">NameHero&#8217;s answer is an always-on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS server with dedicated NVMe storage. It comes with the software installed out of the box and supports bringing your own model keys from Anthropic, OpenAI, or a local model. Gray says setup takes minutes, not hours.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The company isn&#8217;t abandoning its existing business. Shared hosting, reseller plans, VPS, domains, email and gaming hosting all stay in place, and NameHero still runs everything on its own <a href=\"https:\/\/hostingdiscussion.com\/news\/private-cloud-reclaims-the-spotlight-as-enterprises-rethink-ai-cost-control\/\">private cloud<\/a> out of a company-owned Lenexa, Kansas datacenter, a setup that helped land it on the Inc. 5000 list three years running.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Gray pushed back on the idea that AI is replacing his staff, calling that framing disinformation from people who haven&#8217;t actually used the technology. He said the company has run AI on its own internal systems for the past year, with people still directing how it gets used.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Whether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.namehero.com\/agent-hosting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">AI agent hosting<\/a> becomes a real category or a niche add-on next to shared hosting is still an open question.
