That’s the kind of scale where a spreadsheet error in Milan can quietly become a stockout in Manila three weeks later, and it’s exactly the problem this rollout targets.

The company built its RISE with SAP deployment around a single, centralized process model rather than the patchwork of regional systems many global manufacturers still run. Finance, supply chain, marketing and HR now sit on the same connected backbone, which sounds unremarkable until you consider how often large companies still reconcile these functions by hand across different countries and different software.

Embedded AI handles some of the grunt work directly. It automates order and payment posting, matches expenses without someone manually checking receipts, and even assists with setting employee goals. José Silva, Campari’s Group Head of IT, said the move lets the company reshape its processes as the business evolves, tighten supply chain planning, and keep products moving continuously worldwide, while a centralized model drives productivity up and ownership costs down.

Campari also brought in SAP Business Data Cloud to pull data from SAP and outside systems into one place, and added SAP LeanIX to map how applications, processes and the people who own them actually connect. Carla Masperi, SAP Italy’s managing director, called Campari one of the strongest references SAP has in food and beverage, and pointed to how the company paired cloud ERP with AI-driven planning.

What makes this worth watching isn’t the software itself. It’s the bet that a spirits company spanning 190 countries can run cleaner with fewer disconnected systems rather than more specialized ones bolted together. If Campari’s supply chain holds up better during the next demand spike or shipping delay, that’s the actual test of whether this consolidation works, not the announcement itself.

Campari Group just went live with SAP Cloud ERP Private across a business that makes and ships more than 50 spirits brands to over 190 countries from 24 production sites.
