Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/hostingdiscussion.com\/news\/oracle-aws-just-made-multicloud-networking-less-of-a-nightmare\/\">Oracle Interconnec<\/a>t for AWS skips most of that. Customers set up an on-demand private connection through the cloud interfaces they already use, while the service quietly handles the underlying complexity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">The timing also tracks with how enterprise infrastructure actually works today. <a href=\"https:\/\/hostingdiscussion.com\/news\/oracle-introduces-multicloud-universal-credits-to-streamline-cloud-procurement-hybrid-ai-workloads\/\">Multicloud<\/a> isn&#8217;t really a choice teams debate anymore. Instead, application components live wherever they fit best, sometimes in AWS, sometimes in OCI, and they still need to interact regardless of which cloud they&#8217;re sitting in. This matters even more for AI and data-heavy workloads, which tend to span environments and depend on fast, private connections between services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">On cost, Oracle built the service around its existing global pricing structure, so there are no data transfer charges eating into the budget. Teams pay for the connection capacity they provision instead of negotiating a patchwork of third-party fees, and they can scale that capacity up or down without downtime or re-architecting anything.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">Security is part of the design from the start. Every connection between AWS and <a href=\"https:\/\/hostingdiscussion.com\/news\/oracle-oci-cloudflare-partner-to-secure-ai-cloud-workloads\/\">OCI network<\/a> devices carries default encryption through IEEE 802.1AE MACsec, the industry standard, so teams don&#8217;t have to build a separate security model for each connection they add.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">Oracle and AWS have also set up joint support for the service. So when something goes wrong with cross-cloud traffic, customers reach a coordinated team from both providers rather than bouncing between two separate support desks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">General availability starts with the OCI Ashburn and AWS US East (N. Virginia) region pair, and Oracle says more region pairs are on the way in the coming months.
